Who Is Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

By Abu al-Qasim Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib is the final prophet of the Muslims. He lived from 12 Rabi al-Awwal Aam al-Fail (June 8, 570 or 571 AD) until 12 Rabi al-Awwal 10 AH (June 8, 632 AD).  Muhammad, in the eyes of Muslims, was the most effective leader of all the religious leaders.  He went under the name Abul Qasim.  Muslims hold that Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last of the great prophets sent by Allah to mankind.


Encyclopaedia Britannica claims that he was the most influential religious leader ever.  At the age of forty, the verse was made known.  In Medina in 632 AD, he died at the age of sixty-three (63) years old.



In the modern Saudi Arabia, Mecca and Medina are both located in the Hijaz.  About six months before Hazrat Muhammad's birth, his father, bin Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim bin Abdul Manaf, passed away. His mother, Hazrat Amina, passed away when he was six years old.  died and left the planet.  The Arabic phrase "Muhammad" translates as "the one who is praised."


The word stems from the word hymn, which is a doxological word.  His great-grandfather Hazrat Abdul Muttalib gave him this name.  The names Messenger, Seal of the Prophets, Holy Prophet, Mercy to the Worlds, and Prophet (peace be upon him) are also used to refer to Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) 



You have numerous names and titles in addition to this.  Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began dealing with his uncle Hazrat Abu Talib before the prophethood manifested.  Among the Arab tribes, he was known by the names Sadiq and Amin because of his sincerity, honesty, and straightforward character.


THE CAVE OF HIRA

In a cave outside of Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to spend the majority of his time in prayer. The Cave of Hira is the name of this cave.  Muhammad (peace be upon him) received the message of Allah from Hazrat Jibraeel (the angel), who made an appearance here one day in 610 AD.  The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) received this as the first communication from Allah through Gabriel (peace be upon him

 Ibn Abbas gave the following account of the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)'s appearance: He had a tall stature and a moderate height; his body type was neither too thin nor too fat, and as a result, his height was neither excessively long nor excessively short.  The face is lovely, the beard is thick and covers the entire face and the first portion of the chest. The complexion is wheatish-white, the eyes are brown, the cheeks burn, and the eyes are large.



Death


 The Holy Prophet (PBUH) got sick just after the Farewell Hajj and recovered, but a little later, he got sick once more and had a headache for a few days.  The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) passed away in 632 AD, either in May or June, according to tradition.  When he passed away, he was 63 years old.  In the same location where he passed away, Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was buried in his chamber, which was next to the Prophet's Mosque. Hazrat Ali provided a bath and a shroud, and various groups of Companions led successive funeral prayers.  was  The Prophet's Mosque now includes this and the entire neighbourhood.).
