Madinah is a blessed city where the grave of the Prophet ﷺ is located, and here the blessings and virtues of the shrine of the Prophet ﷺ will be clarified, along with the virtues of attending the shrine of the Prophet ﷺ and praying over it. The blessing of dying in Madinah will also be Written.
Secrets of Prophet's Muhammad ﷺ grave:
The Grave Of The Holy Prophet ﷺ Is In The Holy Medina, And The Messenger Of Allah ﷺ Is In His Grave; Rather, All The Prophets Are Alive In Their Graves, And The Ummah(All People) Agrees On It.
Although There Is A Difference In The Nature Of Life, That Is Why The Part Of The Land Of Medina That Is Mixed With The Pure Body And Blessed Limbs Of The Messenger Of Allah (May Allah Bless Him And Grant Him Peace) Is The Best Part Of The Whole Earth.
To Visiting The Grave Of The Prophet Muhammad:
The Prophets Are Alive In Their Graves. (Musnad Abi Yali: 3425)
Since The Prophets Are Alive In Their Graves, The Prophet (Peace And Blessings Of Allah Be Upon Him) Is Also Alive In His Grave; Therefore, The Virtues Of Visiting The Grave Have Been Described.

The Virtue Of Dying In Medina:
And Every Muslim Wishes To Die In Medina, And There Are Some Lucky Ones Who Get This Wish Fulfilled, Because There Are Many Merits In The Hadith Of Dying In Medina, The City Of The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). Here Are Some Of Them.
1. He Said: None Of My Ummah Will Endure The Suffering Of Medina, But I Will Be Its Intercessor On The Day Of Judgment. (Muslim 712; Hadith 1378)
2. There Are Angels In All The Ways Of Entering Medina; The Plague And Dajjal Will Not Enter It. (Bukhari, Vol. 1/619, Hadith: 1880)
3. Praying One Prayer In Masjid Nabawi Sharif Is Equal To Fifty Thousand Prayers. (Ibn Maja Hadith, 1413)
4. By This Caste! In Whose Hand Is My Soul, In Medina ,There Is Neither A Gorge Nor A Path, But There Are Two Angels Guarding It. (Muslim 714, Hadith: 1374)
5. Every Action Performed In Medina Is Equal To One Thousand. (Ahyaya Uloom, 1/739)
6. When A Muslim Comes To Medina With The Intention Of Making A Pilgrimage, The Angels Welcome Him With Gifts Of Mercy. (Zawb Al-Qulub, P. 211)
7. There Is Healing In The Soil Of Medina. (Zawb Al-Qulub, P. 22)
8. I Was Ordered To Migrate To A City That Will Consume All The Cities (Overcome All). People Call It Yathrib, And It Is Medina, This City Will Purify People Like A Furnace. To Iron Mail. (Sahih Bukhari, J1/617, Hadith 1871)
9. He Said: Whoever Performed Hajj After My Death And Visited My Grave, It Is As If He Was Honoured By Visiting My Grave During My Lifetime.
10. He Said: Whoever Dies In Medina, Let Him Die There, Because I Will Intercede For Those Who Died In Medina. (Tirmidhi, Volume 5, Page 483, Hadith 3943)
The Famous Muffsir (Commentator),Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan (May Allah Have Mercy On Him), Says:
It Is Clear That This Good News And Guidance Are For All Muslims And Not Only For The Emigrants, That Is, The Muslim Who Intends To Die In Medina Should Try To Die There. If God Blesses Him, He Should Stay There, Especially In His Old Age, He Should Not Go Out Of Medina Unnecessarily, So That His Death And Burial Will Be His Destiny There.
Dua For Forgiveness Of Sins At The Holy Shrine In Medina:
Since The Holy Prophet (Peace And Blessings Of Allah Be Upon Him) Is Alive In His Grave, Just As It Was Permissible To Ask For Forgiveness And Intercession From Him During His Lifetime, It Is Also Permissible To Request It From Him After His Departure From This World.
To Give Salam To Prophet Muhammad ﷺ In Medina:
On The Authority Of Hazrat Abu Huraira: The Messenger Of Allah, May God Bless Him And Grant Him Peace, Said: Whoever Sends Greetings To Me, Allah Returns My Soul To Me, Until I Respond To His Greetings (Abu Dawud, Amount Of Hadith: 2041, Chapter Ziyarat Al-Qubur).
However, Allah Has Made Such A System That When You Recite Salaam On Him، The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Them) Listens To It And Responds To It.
Etiquette For Attending The Tomb Of Muhammad ﷺ:
When Intending To Attend The Holy Shrine, These Etiquette Rules Should Be Kept In Mind.
1. Organize Good Cleanliness And Hygiene.
2. Bathe And Dress Well.
3. Comb The Hair.
4. Using Fragrance۔
5. Apply Surma To The Eyes.
6. Give To Charity As Soon As You Leave Your Residence.
7. And Be Polite So As Not To Be Rude.
8. If It Is Easy, Then Enter From Bab Gabriel'.
9. And Recite This Dua While Standing Straight Ahead:
بسم اللہ والصلاة والسلام علی رسول اللہ اللھم اغفرلی ذنوبي، وافتح لی أبواب رحمتک․
10. To Perform Aitikaf (Staying In The Mosque For A Certain Period Of Time).
11. If It Is Easy, Perform Two Rak'ahs Of Tahiyyah Al-Masjid (Prayer For Entering The Mosque) Near Riyaz Al-Jannah.
12. Recite Blessings And Peace On The Holy Prophet.
13. And Then Pray For Goodness And Blessings For All People.
